If your hair loss is due to a medical condition, your insurance may cover the cost of a "Cranial Hair Prosthesis." When speaking with your provider, terminology is key. Avoid words like "wig" or "topper," which are often classified as cosmetic. Instead, specifically ask about coverage for a Cranial Hair Prosthesis related to medical hair loss. While we cannot file the claim for you, we can provide the necessary invoices to help you submit your claim for reimbursement.

Yes, sometimes. We can re-install extensions only if the hair is 100% human hair, in good condition, and works with the methods we use.

• If the hair was installed at Monaco, yes, as long as it still looks and feels great.
• If you bought the hair from Monaco but took a break: yes, if it’s still in good shape.
• If the hair was purchased/installed elsewhere: maybe - only if it matches our methods and is a brand we work with (ex, Great Lengths, Bellami, HairDreams) and is in good condition.

Keratin bond extensions: No. Once removed, they are one-time use and cannot be reinstalled.

Generally, Yes. Our priority is maintaining the integrity of your hair. We can re-install hair extensions—even if purchased at another salon—provided they meet three criteria:

1. They are 100% Human Hair.
2. They are in excellent condition.
3. They are compatible with our methods and brands (specifically Great Lengths, Bellami, HairDreams, and Zora Hair).

Important Policy on Keratin Bonds: No. Once removed, Keratin Bond extensions cannot be re-applied. They are a single-use luxury method. This applies regardless of where they were purchased.

No. While we are happy to install outside hair that meets our quality standards, we will not color, dye, or lighten any extensions not purchased directly through Monaco Salon.

Here is why we strictly enforce this policy:

• Unknown Quality: Not all hair labeled "100% Human" is true to grade. Lower-quality hair can melt or break when exposed to professional color.
• Unknown Chemical History: We cannot know if the hair was previously bleached or coated with silicone. Even small chemical differences can cause the hair to turn unexpected colors (like pink or green) during processing.
• Protecting Your Investment: Coloring extensions is high-risk. By only coloring hair we supply, we guarantee the results and protect you from ruining expensive hair.

Note: If you have extensions installed at Monaco Salon, they must only be altered by our stylists. If another salon cuts or colors them, your Monaco warranty is voided.

Come with clean, dry hair if you're getting highlights, and avoid using heavy styling products the day of your appointment. It’s also helpful to bring inspiration photos and be ready to talk about your hair goals, maintenance preferences, and past color history so we can create the perfect plan for your hair.

Yes! We offer flexible payment plans through Cherry, allowing you to get the hair you love now and pay over time. Approval takes just a few minutes, and you can choose a plan that works best for your budget.

Most new extension transformations start at $1,000+ and can go up based on the method, length, and amount of hair needed. Maintenance and smaller refresh appointments are priced separately. We’ll give you an exact quote at your free consultation.
