private hair consultation for topper or wig

First let's distinguish between the hair and the method of attachment.

The Wefts: The hair we use will depend on your hair type. We'll choose the weft construction and brand that best suits your hair and desired style. For most hair types, we like to use genius wefts. For curly and textured hair, we might prefer hand-tied wefts. No matter which type of wefts we use, it is all top quality human hair, custom colored and blended to match your own hair perfectly.

The method: Regardless of weft construction, or even the brand manufacturer, the wefts can be attached to your natural hair in a variety of ways. Each are tried and true, but depending on your hair type and the desired level of upkeep, we may recommend one over another. The most popular installation method is the Invisible Beaded Row.

What is an Invisible Beaded Row? Aren't all wefts invisible?

Yes. But the invisible beaded row method goes a step further by sandwiching the attachment (bead) between wefts of hair to conceal them. This method is preferred by women who like to wear their hair up or pulled back worrying about exposing their attachments. It is more labor intensive than the traditional method and is therefore more expensive.

How Are Invisible Beaded Rows Different from Traditional Methods?

With a classic beaded row, the extensions can sometimes peek through when you wear your hair up. Invisible Beaded Rows are designed to prevent that. Your natural hair is carefully sandwiched between the rows of extensions, hiding all attachment points from every angle.

This allows you to style your hair however you like—including high ponytails, buns, and top knots—without worrying that your extensions will show.

Are These Beaded Rows More Expensive?

Invisible Beaded Rows are more labor-intensive than traditional methods, which makes them a premium service. The process requires advanced training and precision to ensure the attachments are properly hidden and comfortable. The extra time and care involved are reflected in the price, but the flawless, discreet results speak for themselves.

Invisible Beaded Row Method (IBE / Hidden Beaded Row)

Krista has perfected her variation of this method, evolving the technique after years of experience in applying these. Krista's entire team is trained on this method and her refinements. This attachment method uses a sandwich technique: beads are secured to your natural hair, and wefts are sewn both above and below the bead track, fully concealing the attachments. This structure allows for seamless up‑styles and high ponytails without revealing any beads. Because of the extra sewing involved, this method may require more time to install so it may cost more than other methods.

Colored Beads Create a Row

We color-match your hair to our beads that come in light, medium, or dark, which helps conceal them in your hair.

Beads are gently placed in a row along the scalp and attached to your hair to form a base. Then wefts are then sewn into each bead to complete the row. Then we repeat the process for each row we need.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Invisible Beaded Row Extensions?

This method is ideal for anyone looking for discreet, natural-looking extensions with flexible styling options. If you love to wear your hair up and want complete peace of mind that your extensions are hidden, Invisible Beaded Rows are a great choice.

How Long Do Invisible Beaded Rows Last?

Like all extensions, Invisible Beaded Rows require regular maintenance. On average, you’ll visit the salon every 6-8 weeks to have your beads moved up as your natural hair grows. The wefts are reused after the adjustment and with proper care, your hair can be reapplied multiple times.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Hair Extensions

Will hair extensions work on short hair?

«

Yes. As long as your natural hair is at least 3-4 inches long, we can blend extensions seamlessly. Depending on your current layers and density, we may recommend one method over another (such as K-Tips for very short styles) to ensure the attachments remain invisible. We can determine the perfect plan during your free consultation.

Do you offer NBR extensions?

«

We do the method, not the NBR brand. We use the NBR-style install with our premium wefts, so it feels flat, comfy, and looks real. We use luxury hair like Great Lengths and HairDreams.

Will the extensions match my exact hair color?

«

Absolutely. We rarely take a single color out of a box and apply it. We order the closest premium match and then custom-blend, highlight, or root-shadow the extensions to ensure they mimic the dimension and tone of your natural hair perfectly.

Can you re-install hair extensions that have been worn already?

«

Yes, sometimes. We can re-install extensions only if the hair is 100% human hair, in good condition, and works with the methods we use.

  • If the hair was installed at Monaco, yes, as long as it still looks and feels great.
  • If you bought the hair from Monaco but took a break: yes, if it’s still in good shape.
  • If the hair was purchased/installed elsewhere: maybe - only if it matches our methods and is a brand we work with (ex, Great Lengths, Bellami, HairDreams) and is in good condition.

Keratin bond extensions: No. Once removed, they are one-time use and cannot be reinstalled.

How do I care for my extensions at home?

«

Home care is simple once you know the basics. The most important rules are to brush gently from ends to root, use sulfate-free professional products (like the ones in your Gift Set), and never sleep with wet hair. We will provide you with a full guide during your appointment.

How much do hair extensions cost at Monaco?

«

Most new extension transformations start at $1,000+ and can go up based on the method, length, and amount of hair needed. Maintenance and smaller refresh appointments are priced separately. We’ll give you an exact quote at your free consultation.

Quick note: We use premium human hair and master-level installs. We are not a budget extensions salon.
